“The grace of God means something like: Here is your life. You might never have been, but you are because the party wouldn’t have been complete without you.”
― Frederick Buechner
We know that The Church is part of our lives, not just on Sundays, but everyday. The ministries of our church put action to our words and create change in us and those we serve. We have many opportunities to connect with others and create change in our world.
Our Children’s Ministry is designed for school-age kids to grow in faith, build friendships, and experience God’s love in engaging and meaningful ways. Programming is offered every Sunday—except on the first Sunday of each month, when families remain together in worship for Communion Sunday.
We believe every child is a vital part of our church family, and we can’t wait to welcome yours!
If you’d like more information about our curriculum or have specific questions, please email Elizabeth at [email protected].
At Northwest Community Church we believe that the Christian faith journey is not a solitary journey, but a life lived in a covenant relationship with God and with others, recognizing a dependence on following the Spirit’s leading.
We are active in community and social justice related causes. In the last two years, we hosted an evening of worship and vigil for Syrian Refugees, participated in a march on the Strip following the PULSE shooting, held a seminar on sex trafficking, and an animal advocacy month. We have a float in the Las Vegas PRIDE Parade each year as well as a booth at the festival, and we have supported Trans Pride events. We participate in community walks and fundraising drives such as the local AIDS walk and the Walk Against Hate.
One of the cornerstones of our ministry at Northwest Community Church is Christian Education. Through Christian Education we provide quality open and affirming education, activities, and small groups and studies for our congregation and guests.
“What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and be well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?”
— James 2:14-17 (NIV)
At Northwest Community Church, we believe faith must be active and compassionate. God’s Groceries is our emergency food assistance ministry serving individuals and families throughout the Las Vegas Valley. This program is entirely powered by generous donations and 100% volunteer labor. We provide food to anyone in need, without question—regardless of race, creed, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
Volunteers are always welcome! On select Fridays, we gather to bag groceries and distribute food to our neighbors in need. Whether you can give an hour or a full day, your help makes a real difference. Check our calendar for upcoming volunteer dates, and join us in putting faith into action through love.
